Karbon Homes, a Newcastle based Housing Association with over 30,000 homes, has announced that it is in partnership talks with Newcastle-based Leazes Homes. If successful, Leazes Homes, currently part of Your Homes Newcastle, and a registered provider in its own right, will become a subsidiary of Karbon, transferring the management of all its homes to the association in July. Your Homes Newcastle is the ALMO of Newcastle City Council, which announced in December that it planned to close Your Homes Newcastle, bringing housing services back in house.
